Sometimes it’s not good to share.

A new study finds common and shared genes between Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis—very short but informative: washingtonpost.com (Not very uplifting, sorry).

Rules that weren’t made to be broken.

Want to know how it feels when you realize something is in fact wrong with you? Take a look at Loren Berlin’s health piece from the New York Times a few days ago: When the Body Decides to Stop Following the Rules. A great perspective on going from “normal” to sick.

I really admire the hopeful perspective Loren ostends — particularly this point: “The individual cannot control where the fence stakes are placed. But every person determines for herself how she maneuvers within the enclosed space.” A definition of Greek fate provided by a college professor. It’s short and sweet. Hope you all enjoy.
